ポーズ。もはやこれも日本語ですね。
これにも「異なる英語」が対応します。
"pose"
基本的にはポーズをとる、のポーズはこっちです。
ただ英語の使い方には面白いものもあります。
"pose" : verb
- [VN] to create a thread, problem, etc. that has to be dealt with:
- to pose a thread/challenge/danger/risk.
- The task poses no special problems.
- [VN] ~ a question (formal) to ask a question, especially one that needs serious thought.
- [V] ~(for sb/sth) to sit or stand in a particular position in order to be painted, drawn or photographed.

- 「対処すべき問題などをつくる」
- 正式な場で真剣な質問をする場合は "ask" よりいいのかな。
- 日本語でのポーズをとる、ポージング。
"pause"
ゲームとかでのポーズはこっちです。
"pause" : verb
- [V] to stop talking or doing sth for a short time before continuing:
- Anita paused for a moment, then said: 'All right'.
- The woman spoke almost without pausing for breath (=very quickly).
- I paused at the door and looked down.
- Pausing only to pull on a sweater, he ran out of the house.
- [VN] to stop a tape, CD, etc. for a short time using the pause button:

- 「ちょっとまってください」的な。一旦何かやめる。
- セーターだけで家から逃げ出すとかどういう状況だらふ。
- いわゆる「ポーズ」ボタン的な。
最近だとオンラインゲーム主流のため、ゲームでポーズってあんまり 使わないのかも知れませんね。
AFK とかのほうが多そう。いやキーボードも減っているのかな。
